Creating a Scan
MirrorMe enables all users to crate 3D scans through the MirrorMe iOS app (android is coming soon! Sign up here to be first to know when it's available). If you are ready to take your first scan, here is a tutorial on how to create a great scan.
If you are a patient: Download the app, then create an account. You can also use your existing MirrorMe credentials to log in.
If you are a doctor: Use your existing MirrorMe credentials. If you do not have an account yet, please raech. out to the MirrorMe team to learn more about setting up an account.
There are a few reasons why your scan may not be optimal yet. Be sure you are following all of the instructions from our tutorial page.
One other thing to remember: when you first generate a 3D scan preview, you are previewing a low resolution version of your scan. This means that the color may look funny or the geometry of the scan isn’t perfect. Once you choose to save a scan, the app re-processes your scan using a much more intensive process to create a high resolution scan which can take up to 5 minutes. Once it is ready, you will be able to view the preview or full resolution versions in the app’s Gallery or in the Patient Profile on the web.
